International Clubs Taekwondo Organization (ICTO)

BTFC created history in the Taekwondo arena when it founded the "first of its kind" International Clubs Taekwondo Organization (ICTO) through the effort of its mastermind Master Woon and a group of dedicated committees.

The mission and vision of ICTO is to:-

  1. Promote friendship and enhance goodwill among the Taekwondo fraternity throughout the world.
  2. Promote, participate and organize Taekwondo competitions among Taekwondo Clubs Internationally.
  3. Provide an opportunity to all Taekwondo Masters around the world to meet once every two years, to exchange views on the latest development in Taekwondo and also an opportunity to make business contacts, students exchange programmes and exchange of different cultures among participating teams especially the host country.

The idea to form ICTO was initiated way back in 1997 after the termendous success of the International Clubs Taekwondo Championship. The protem committee of ICTO was formed on the 6th April 2000 and held its first meeting on the same date at the Holiday Inn Mansion, Bangkok, Thailand and the Constitution of ICTO was also approved and adopted during this meeting.

Subsequently, the 2nd ICTO Meeting was held on the 29th June 2000 at Kimdo Hotel, Hochiminh City, Vietnam. And the new ICTO logo was created and adopted on the 4th August 2000.

Since its enactment in 2000, 12 countries have become members of ICTO, namely:
