1st Malaysian Open Taekwondo Championship
(24-25 Aug 2002, Stadium Melawati, Shah Alam)

 

This inaugural championship drew over 200 participants from Bahrain, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka,Japan and Malaysia. BTFC vanquished the opponents who included experienced local and foreign competitors to emerge the overall champion team with a total of 10 medals; 6 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze.

The BTFC was represented by:
