The 20th Remaja MTA-MAGNUM-MILO Taekwondo
Championship 2000 was held at Cheras Badminton
Stadium in Kuala Lumpur from 30th June 2000
- 2nd July 2000. This championship is an
annual event where junior exponents vie
for this pretigious title. It yielded over
800 participants from 55 teams in the sparring
and poomsae events.
A flag presentation ceremony was held on
the 25th of June 2000, at the SK Kelana
Jaya 1 & 2 multipurpose hall. tack suits
and T-shirts were presented to our platers
as well as the parents and supporters by
BTFC's honorary President - Dato' Hashim
Yusoff, followed by a prayer for the well
being of our participants.
11 of our players under their respective
categories competed in the sparring event
and managed to win 5 gold, 2 silver and
1 bronze.
3 of our players, namely Gan Sher Li, Jason
Chong Keng Soon and Shahril bin Ismail were
awarded the "Tunas Harapan" (Young
Olympian Award) for their great achievements.
