A Summary of Our Achievements

 

Formed and established in 1989, BTFC was later accepted as the pioneer batch of associate clubs
to the National Association in 1993. 
Currently registered to the Sports Commissioner of Malaysia since 2005.

Managed and run by a team of dynamic and aggressive technical administrators seeking to accomplish excellence in performance and achievements, we stand as the most prominent and active club in Malaysia. Among our numerous achievements, we were awarded the Malaysia’s only Best performing club in 2002.

We are recognized as the 1st National Training Centre in Malaysia under the National Sports Council of Malaysia since 2007

With established good contacts internationally as well as throughout Malaysia, we play a major part in the propagation, development and promotion of this popular Martial Art / Olympic Sport locally and internationally.

Lets browse through some of our major accomplishments and activities lined out : -

I) International events organized / hosted by BTFC : - 

1995        Founded and Organized the 1st International Clubs Open Taekwondo Championship                    – Kuala  Lumpur

1996        Hosted a Cultural Exchange programme for 300 Korean Taekwondo Children and 300 Local Taekwondo Children in Kuala Lumpur.

1997        Organized the 2nd International Clubs Open Taekwondo Championship – Kuala  Lumpur

2000    Played host to 3 Danish Taekwondoins for a 2 month intensive training

2001    Played host to a friendly Match with Singapore Blue Wave Taekwondo Club.

2001    Organized an International Taekwondo Seminar conducted by Grand Master Park Hae Man,        ( 9th Dan ), Grand Master Kwon Young Woon (9th Dan) & Master Kim Jae Min (7th Dan).

2002    Played host to a friendly Match with Taiwanese Junior team led by Master Mao Kee Lung

2003    Played host to a friendly Match with Vietnamese Junior team led by Master Nguyen Quoc Tam

2004    Played host to a friendly Match with Singapore Junior team led by Master Nordon Lim

2005    Played host to a friendly Match with Hochihminh City team led by Master Nguyen Quoc Tam

2005    Organized a Taekwondo Seminar conducted by Grand Master Park Hae Man, ( 9th Dan )

2005    Organized a Coaching Seminar conducted by Prof. Kwon Hyouk Joung

2005    Jointly Organized the 6th International Clubs Open Taekwondo Championship in Genting Highlands

2006        Played host to a friendly Match with Singapore Chinese Swimming Club led by Master Nordon Lim

2007    Organized a Taekwondo Seminar conducted by Grand Master Park Hae Man, ( 9th Dan )

2004   –   Athens Olympic Games – Athens, Greece

               – Master Woon was selected as the 1st Malaysian to officiate

                  as a Referee in the Olympic Taekwondo Event

2004   –   Olympic Youth Camp – Athens, Greece

               – Ryan Chong was selected as one of the two candidates from Malaysia to attend
      the Olympic Youth Camp
