BTFC gathered to celebrate its successes
in 2001. Over 220 guests attended this annual
fund raising dinner with our Honorary President
as host. A 6-piece band comprising BTFC
talents and friends entertained the crowd
before our President stepped up to deliver
his welcoming address. Parents Committee
Chairperson, Marie Heng took this opportunity
to surprise Dato' Hashim with a collage
designed by the 2001 Female Best Player,
Stella Heng as a token of heartfelt appreciation
for his charismatic leadership.
The dinner was graced by the presence of
our guest of honor Tun Mohd Eusoff Chin.
Also present were Lt. Kol. (R) Mohd. Noor
Bin Jaffar, former Deputy President of MTA
and Dr Jagjit Singh, former Deputy President
of UWPTA.
BTFC Team members started the ball rolling
with a rendition of their own 'Thank You'
song, dedicated to their parents. The hall
applauded when the members then delivered
personally made 'Thank You' cards to their
respective parents. It was a touching moment
indeed.
Once the guests had settled down again,
BTFC called upon our guest of honor Tun
Mohd Eusoff Chin to present the 2001 Best
Player Awards and Most Promising Player
Awards. In short, it has been a very exciting
year for BTFC, with great achievements locally
and abroad. It was a night of celebration,
catching up with one another and simply
having a good time. As the night drew to
a close, we held hands and sang 'Auld Lang
Syne'. We wished one another good tidings
and best wishes for the upcoming year.
